Mathieu GRAMOLI

Mathieu Gramoli (b. June 12, 1978) is a French American drummer, composer, teacher and producer. Regarding his new band, HER, Mathieu says “it’s a brand new step for me… Focussing on the essential with few ingredients to make soul music feel brand new is a real challenge… and I am proud of the work we have done on this LP…” As a studio musician, he has recorded on Eric et Ramzy’s movie Seul Two, Sofia Ribeiro and Guillaume Duvignau’s Porto, Orquestra do Fuba’s Quem Mando and Fabrica do Sonhos, two LPs with Tekere as a co-leader, HER Tape#2, HER live tape#2, HER LP… Born in Paris, he attended the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood where he graduated in 2004. He then entered the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris and went on tour the same year with Ricardo Herz, Marco Pereira, Philippe Baden Powell, all members of the brazilian scene.
